Your mission is to explore all, as you attempt to raise the underwater metropolis from the bottom of the sea in this addictive tile-swapping puzzler The Rise of Atlantis.

The campaign map is divided into individual stop-offs at exotic lands like Phoenicia, Babylon, Rome, Egypt, Troy, Carthage and Greece, you’ll travel along through places to assemble magical artifacts. The game mechanics is a classic match-3 gameplay which still prevails around the world. To play, just click on two adjacent tiles to instantly swap them, with the objective being to create horizontal or vertical matches of three or more similarly-adorned squares. Then, the tiles matched immediately disappear from play, while four or above tiles matched will infuse energy to sun-power which helps you to destroy a host of tiles. Featured power-ups such as bombs, lightning bolts, extra lives and additional time help you to reach higher scores and go through level easily. Naturally, a ticking timer limits the amount of breathing room you have while going through the process.

You’ll have to solve a jigsaw-style puzzle as well, making the artefacts fall to the bottom of the playfield. Collecting them to fill up the grids on the top left of your screen. It’s unique that this game emphasizes on making bigger matches vs. whopping combinations, but the game balancing is obviously guaranteed with a great deal of effort, as evidenced in that the number of artefacts on the grid as well as the difficulty of the puzzles increase as you go through the levels.
